My photos will be able to be printed as 8 X 10 prints with excellent results.  If the photo you have selected is in my opinion not capable of being printed with a good result as an 8 X 10, I will advise you. 

The great majority of images on this web site are in the same aspect ratio as the ratio of the camera that they were taken with.  When ordering remember that some cropping will occur, and that an 8 by 10 print has an aspect ratio that is more square than the images you are viewing on this web site.  I do my best to crop so that your print represents the image you ordered from.  8.5 by 11 inch prints are closer to the same aspect ratio as what you are seeing on this web site.

All prints are color corrected and optimized for the size and type of paper on which it is printed. 

All  prints have a thin white border around the image, to enable mounting in a frame or matted, without loosing a portion of the image. 

I have a professional quality printer, (Epson Stylus Pro 3800) and use Epson Premium Lustre Photo Paper or Ilford Gallerie Smooth Pearl Paper.  The Epson K3 inks that this printer uses are rated for 200 years on these papers. 

If you like a photograph, I recommend ordering the 8 by 10 inch size. 

I understand in these economic times  people want to watch their expenditures.  I am happy to print 5 by 7 inch prints for customers who want them.  That being said, based on the clarity of the images and the detail that is available, customers  who make a direct comparison of the same image printed as both a 5 by 7 and an 8 by 10 or larger print, always choose the larger print because of the detail that they see in the larger print.

JPEG Images

JPEG images are available by download from this site.  The Jpegs are suitable for displaying the images on a computer or on a screen, however, they are not the resolution required to produce a high resolution print. When you order a JPEG image, you will get a file sized so that the largest dimension is 10 inches. That way when you open it, it should fit on your screen in the vertical as well as the horizontal direction.  The image will be at a resolution of 150 Pixels per inch, which will allows some ability to zoom in without pixelization.  The files are between 1.2 MB and 2MB in size. 

Jpeg's are $7.50 each for the first  3 purchased in an order, and then $5 for each additional Jpeg if the total order is more than 3.

I have set up an FTP site for downloading the files.  It is very easy to do over the internet, and I email detailed instructions to guide you through the process.  If you prefer, the JPEG files can be put on a CD, and mailed for an additional $3.00. I've also had good success just emailing the files to people.

Shipping and Handling

    The costs to mail by USPS are variable, depending on the size and number of prints in the order. 

    Examples: 

The minimum shipping and handling charge is $3.00.  A person ordering 2 or more  (5 X 7's) would be able to ship the photos for the minimum       charge. A single 8 by 10  ships for $4.  A combination of  several 5 by 7s  and 8 by 10s would be shipped for $5.00.  

Prints larger than 8 by 10 are shipped at a price dependant on the size.  Packaging and USPS  costs vary according to size.
