Dogs don't see things the way we do. They have vision that does not see reds and some shades of green. Following are two photographs, the first is what you would see, and the second is what your dog would see if they were standing beside you.
As you can see, your dog's world is quite different. It's black, white, grays, and shades of yellow and blue.
This image was created using a Protanopia Filter in Photoshop CS4. Protanopia is a form of color blindness found in humans. Humans with this condition share the same color perception as their dogs. If you have a friend with red and green color blindness, this is what their world looks like too. If you don't see a difference between the two images, you may want to visit your opthamologist. |
